Rapid EBS Reporting: Importing and Utilizing Oracle ECC Dashboard SQLs with Blitz Report

Avatar photoCustomer December 4, 2025 at 11:49 am

Our Oracle Enterprise Command Center (ECC) dashboards contain critical, pre-approved query logic, but we constantly hit data volume limits or get stuck dealing with basic CSV file exports when pulling data for detailed analysis. We need a rapid report development approach that allows us to reuse these proven ECC Dashboard SQLs directly in EBS. How can Blitz Report be utilized to import these queries and output the full data set quickly to formatted Excel?

This is a key area where Blitz Report excels: enabling rapid report development by importing and leveraging official ECC Dashboard SQLs. This process ensures your reports align with Oracle’s approved query logic, establishing a single source of truth for both EBS and ECC reporting, but without the dashboard’s data volume limitations.

What is the process for importing the underlying ECC query into Blitz Report?

A developer simply navigates to the Blitz Report setup form, selects the Import function from the toolbar, and chooses the relevant Oracle ECC query for the required business process area. The import instantly creates a new Blitz Report, automatically inheriting the query, title, and initial version control.

How does the output handling differ from the ECC dashboards’ native export?

The ECC dashboard exports typically limit data volume and produce unformatted CSV files. Blitz Report processes the query via the standard concurrent request framework, overcoming ECC data limits and delivering the output as a fully formatted Excel file with filters applied automatically, saving the user significant time.
