Data Governance and compliance

Typically, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementations have many security, auditing, and compliance-related requirements.

For example: if someone has changed a billing address, bank account, or a system profile.

There are two standard approaches in EBS:-

  1. Install and configure the GRC module to provide audit trails of configuration and data changes.
  2. Use the basic audit tracking text report provided with the system administrator’s responsibility.

An easier way

Here we demonstrate a third method that will only cost a small amount of DBA installation time; typically 30 minutes from start to finish.

Once the Blitz Report software is installed, the following implementation steps will take you less than 5 minutes per configuration setup or master data element that you wish to govern.

Steps:

  1. Have your DBA download and install our reporting software into your EBS standard forms (typically, 30 minutes with our help as required)
  2. Configure audit in EBS using system administrator (5 minutes)
  3. Run our Audit Table Changes by Column report and schedule the concurrent request for emailing to your compliance team

Summary

The easiest way to report data in EBS is using Blitz Report, there are no volume limitations as with BI Publisher and no need for XML formatting to produce your Excel reports. It takes minutes to create new reports and is seeded with operational reports covering process areas such as R2R, O2C, SCM, and P2P.

Blitz Report is free to use for up to 30 reports. Request a demonstration or try the software yourself.
