A faster, easier approach to ASCP planning

If you think that the ASCP Planner Workbench (PWB) is planner unfriendly, you are not alone. Most planners struggle to understand the plan data due to a lack of usable reports for planned orders, pegging, and exceptions. To compound the situation; important data such as pegging is buried in a subform which is impossible to export.

ASCP – basic functionality/design flaws:

The key report, the Horizontal plan, has to be copied and pasted into Excel to make sense of. Even then, there is only one item/one org available, which does not satisfy planning needs.

The workbench is both unwieldy and slow to respond when exporting plan data. Users have to create folders with queries to evaluate plan data, often requiring the help of support teams.

Oracle advocates that the plan should be worked on an exception basis, but the exception queries are poor and cannot be scheduled as concurrent requests, meaning that the daily/weekly and monthly exceptions are often missed.
