Over the course of four action-packed days in the entire year, more than 200 exhibitors and 5000 users attend OAUG’s COLLABORATE. They are all attending North America’s largest Oracle user conference to both network and learn from the plethora of discussed topics. Such topics include, to name only a few, E-Business Suite Applications, On-Prem EPM/Hyperion as well as Cloud Solutions, Big Data or BI & Analytics. On this occasion, the action was located in Las Vegas, where Enginatics made its debut presence for this prestigious event.

After previously getting our feet wet at the RMOUG conference in Denver, Colorado, we were curious, albeit cautious, to see how a larger group of conference participants would react to our reporting solution. Moreover, learning from the feedback obtained in Denver, we were interested to see whether our presentations and materials would appeal to a larger audience.

Alas, our trepidation need not have been present, our booth was a total hit! For three days we were overwhelmed by the positive interest and feedback from other conference participants. It was both rewarding and exhilarating to see so many newly met faces bring their friends and colleagues to our booth; during which Andy was able to seize the opportunity to talk a little business and introduce Blitz Report. Later, during a Solution Spotlight Session, he was able to go through Blitz Report and all its functionalities in detail.

Suspicion has it that our ping pong was a huge attraction. The juxtaposition of professions at our booth was uncanny as conference participants, while conversing with one another, were lining up for a chance to relive their aspirations of becoming professional ping pong players.

Mind you, the general exhibition of skills did not disappoint as we were treated to some very intense and thrilling games. The constant networking activities reached the penultimate phase with a beach party on the Wednesday night, giving us a chance to pack up shop, sit back on some beach chairs and enjoy a refreshing mojito.

Tired, exhausted but content, we reluctantly made our way to the airport. With this adventure over, it’s time to head home. But we’re not going back empty handed. Inspired by the fantastic feedback and support we received, we are truly grateful to our friends and colleagues for their help and cooperation. Although not quite back home yet, we’re already looking forward to Collaborate 19 – see you in a bit San Antonio!
