Dynamic Filenames based on parameters and formatting

I want the downloaded file name to include the report name, the Operating Unit parameter value, and today’s date, automatically. How do I structure this?

You need to configure the Output Filename option using tokens. You can embed tokens like “, “ (e.g., “), and an Oracle date format string like “.

I noticed there are two styles of tokens, like “ and “. What is the difference?

The underscore token, such as “ or “, automatically ensures that all spaces in the resulting value are replaced with underscores. Tokens using spaces, like “, retain the spaces in the filename.

If I enter the tokens manually, how does the system know if they are valid?

Manually entered tokens are validated against the LOV values associated with the runtime option fields. An error message is displayed if a token is not valid.

Does this dynamic naming convention also apply to the file stored on the concurrent processing server?

The Output Filename option specifically defines the Excel output file name downloaded to the client desktop. The output file on the concurrent processing server in `$APPLCSF/out` is separate.
