Configuring br_period_offset to Return a Range

I need `br_period_offset` to output a period range, for example, the start of the fiscal year up to the current period. How do I configure this?

You must set the Return Range parameter to ‘Yes’. This formats the result as a period range spanning from the offset period to the base period.

Can you give an example of the output format?

If the base period is Mar-08 with an offset of -2, the function would return ‘Jan-08-Mar-08’.

If I am calculating a period range, should I still ensure the base period format is correct?

Yes, the Period Name input must exactly match the format configured in Oracle, regardless of the offset or range parameters.
