Calculating Past or Future Period Names using Offset

I need a calculated cell that dynamically returns a period name relative to a reference period. Which function should I use?

You should use the function `br_period_offset`. This function returns the period name located a specified number of periods before or after a reference point.

If I want to calculate three periods ahead, what kind of offset value should I use?

You should input a positive number (e.g., 3) to return future periods. Conversely, negative numbers (e.g., -1) return past periods.

If the input offset is zero, what is returned?

A value of 0 returns the current reference period.

Can I use this function to return a period range instead of a single period name?

Yes, by setting the Return Range parameter to ‘Yes’, the result is formatted as a period range spanning from the offset period to the base period.
