BOM Cost Audit: Identifying Zero-Cost Components

We need a single-level Bill of Materials report (Where Used) that also includes the component cost information. Can this report compare costs between two cost types simultaneously, and can I filter for components that have a zero item cost?

Yes, the CAC Where Used by Cost Type report provides the single-level bills of materials and related component information. While exploding the bills, you can compare with two cost types and limit the report to only assemblies and component items with a zero item cost.

Which parameters control the zero-cost filtering and the exclusion of non-asset items?

Use the optional parameter ‘p_only_zero_costs’ to show assemblies and components with a zero cost. Additionally, ‘p_include_expense_items’ allows you to include or exclude non-asset (not valued) items.

If I only want to see the routings setup data without the BOM structure, which report should I run?

For routing master data, use the BOM Routings report, which shows bill of material routings with item codes and sequences.

What input is mandatory for the CAC Where Used by Cost Type report?

The ‘Cost Type’ parameter is mandatory, requiring you to enter a cost type name.
