Blitz Report Access Upload maintains the Blitz Report Access profile option for users and responsibilities from Excel. Download the existing user and responsibility level values, change them, add new users or responsibilities, or clear a value. You can grant any level up to your own, but never a higher one.
When to use it
- Give a colleague User Admin or Developer access without opening the profile options screen.
- Set an access level for a responsibility, so that its users get it without a user level value.
- Review who has which Blitz Report access at user and responsibility level, and change several values in one upload.
- Remove a user level value so that the user falls back to the responsibility or site level value.
- Let a User Admin maintain access for other users without giving them access to the profile options screen.
Before you start
- The upload is assigned to your responsibility, or you have System access.
- Your own Blitz Report Access level is at least the level you want to grant.
- The users and responsibilities exist and are active. The upload sets their access, it does not create them.
Access levels

Step 1 – Set the parameters
Open Blitz Report Access Upload in Blitz Report and set the parameters. Both are optional; leave them blank to download every user and responsibility level value. Site and application level values are not downloaded.

Step 2 – Run to download the Excel file
Click Run. The Excel file downloads and opens with one row per user or responsibility that has a Blitz Report Access value.
Step 3 – Enter or change the access
To change the access of a downloaded row, pick another Access. To grant access to another user or responsibility, add a row with the Level (User or Responsibility), the Value (user name or responsibility name) and the Access. Profile Option Name and Description fill in automatically. The Access list offers only the levels up to your own. To remove a value, clear the Access cell: the user or responsibility then gets the value of the next profile level.
Step 4 – Validate and Save
Click Validate and Save. This checks for missing required values and values that are not in the lists, and saves the file. Correct any rows it flags before uploading.
Step 5 – Upload the file
In Blitz Report click Upload and select the saved file. This submits the upload request, which saves the Blitz Report Access value for each row.
Step 6 – Review the result report
When the request completes, a result report opens listing every uploaded row with its status and message.

Common questions
Can I grant a higher level than my own?
No. The Access list offers only the levels up to your own, and the upload checks your access again when it saves each row. A User Admin can grant User and User Admin; a Developer can grant up to Developer; only System can grant System.
Can I remove someone’s access?
Yes. Clear the Access cell of the downloaded row and upload it. This deletes the value at that level, so the user or responsibility gets the value of the next level: a user falls back to the responsibility value, then the site value.
Which value applies when a user has both a user and a responsibility level value?
The user level value, as for any profile option.
Can I set the site or application level value?
No. The upload maintains user and responsibility level values only. Set the site level value in the profile options screen.
Why is a user or responsibility missing from the Value list?
The list shows active users and responsibilities only. End-dated ones cannot be given access.
