Run the GL Code Combinations report. It includes the parameter ‘Show Misclassified Accounts’ specifically to identify code combinations with this discrepancy.

If we discover misclassified accounts, what documentation should we consult before attempting corrections?

The report description references the important Oracle note: ‘R12: Troubleshooting Misclassified Accounts in General Ledger (Doc ID 872162.1)’, which explains the implications of correcting these issues.

We need to check which GL journals have active attachments. Can the GL Journals report filter by this criterion?

The GL Journals report includes attachments information in its output, allowing you to review batches and journals that have attachments.
