Which time limit setting is used if multiple are defined?

We have a maximum run time set at the report definition level, but users can also input a time limit in the Options window. Which value takes precedence?

The time limit can be set at multiple levels, and they follow a strict order of precedence. The highest priority is the Run window options time limit.

What is the full order of precedence, descending from the highest priority?

The order is: 1. Run window options time limit, 2. Profile option on user level, 3. Time limit on report level, 4. Profile option on responsibility level, and finally, 5. Profile option on site level.

What is the unit of measure for this time limit?

The time limit is indicated in seconds. However, there is a profile option, ‘Blitz Report Time Limit in minutes’, for setting a default maximum execution time limit in minutes.

And how is this time limit enforced?

The maximum run time limit is enforced by the ‘Blitz Report Monitor’ concurrent program. This automatically cancels reports exceeding the limit to avoid excessive server load.
