Streamlining Fixed Assets Rollforward: Custom EBS Reporting Solutions for FA Module

Avatar photoCustomer October 14, 2025 at 2:15 pm

Creating a comprehensive Fixed Assets (FA) rollforward analysis from the standard Oracle FA reports is an administrative burden, proving to be both time-consuming and complex due to required manual data aggregation . We need to track asset activity from period to period efficiently. Does an existing template or a reliable custom query strategy exist to generate a streamlined FA rollforward report, ideally delivered in a ready-to-analyze Excel format?

While the core EBS structure may lack dedicated rollforward reports, powerful custom EBS reporting can easily address this. You can define a targeted SQL query within Blitz Report to extract the necessary asset acquisition, depreciation, and retirement data for period-to-period analysis quickly .

Blitz Report excels here because it bypasses the slow processing inherent in standard FA reports, delivering the required transactional detail directly into a clean, formatted Excel file for rapid pivot and analysis .

If we define this custom query, how do we ensure it stays secure and only authorized finance personnel can access the sensitive asset values?

Blitz Report inherently respects your existing EBS security and can be integrated with Oracle VPD (Virtual Private Database) . You can implement policies on the underlying FA tables to restrict access to sensitive asset cost data based on user roles, even when the report is run as the APPS user .

The custom query can be easily managed and version-tracked within the Blitz Report definition interface, providing an audit trail for the report logic itself .
