We are undergoing a global GL setup review and need a master data report that clearly shows the relationship between all our Ledger Sets, Ledgers, their categories, currencies, and associated Legal Entities.

The GL Ledgers and Legal Entities report is specifically designed as a master data report to show this relationship: ledger set, ledger name, category, currency, legal entity, and balancing segment across all entities.

If I only need to see the definition of our ledger sets and the ledgers included within them, is there a simpler report?

Yes, for focusing purely on the grouping structure, use the GL Ledger Sets report, which shows the GL ledger sets and the ledgers included.

The GL Ledgers and Legal Entities report mentions including the balancing segment. What is the benefit of including this segment in this master data report?

Including the balancing segment helps verify the core structural setup, ensuring that the ledger definition correctly aligns with the segment used for legal entity representation.
