Reverting options to default values and locking them

I temporarily increased the Row Limit and set a custom Email address in the Options window for one report run. How can I easily revert all these settings back to the system defaults?

You should use the Reset button in the Options window. This button is specifically used to set runtime options back to the default values based on the profile options or report level settings.

I want to run five different reports, but I need the Row Limit and Output Format to remain fixed across all five, even when I switch reports. Is there a way to lock those option values?

Yes, you can use the Freeze flag. When this flag is checked, the option values are not changed or reset to their defaults when you navigate to a different report.

Where do the default values come from before I hit Reset?

The runtime options inherit their default values from the settings defined on the Blitz Report Setup Window (Report Options section).

Is the Options window layout the same for standard users and developers?

No, the Options window has a dedicated Developer view. Some options, such as ‘Additional Out. Directory on APPS Server’, are only available for users with developer access.
