Report Assignment and Access Control

When we publish a new Blitz Report, we need strict controls over who can execute it. How are Blitz Reports assigned to specific users or groups within Oracle EBS to manage access?

Blitz Report utilizes standard EBS security concepts for access control. Reports can be explicitly assigned to a specific user, module, site, or an Oracle Responsibility. This granular control ensures that only authorized personnel can access and run the customized SQL reports you develop.

If we create many reports, how do we prevent users from getting lost when trying to find the right one?

For usability, we highly recommend utilizing the categorization feature. You can categorize the report (for example, ‘Toolkit – Business Operations’). This categorization allows for quick searching and retrieval whenever the report is subsequently used by the authorized users.

Does the system automatically register the report program with the system administrator functions once the SQL is pasted and saved?

Yes, a significant benefit of Blitz Report is that there is no need to manually register the program with the system administrator. Blitz Report handles this aspect, along with version control, immediately upon report creation/saving.
