Quick Margin Review from CST_MARGIN_SUMMARY

We need a summary report detailing margins from customer invoices and shipments, but we want to exclude the detailed Sales and COGS accounts for a quick review. Which report should we use, and what is the prerequisite?

      Use the CAC Margin Analysis Summary report. This report provides the margin based on the standard Oracle Margin table, `cst_margin_summary`, without showing the COGS and Sales Accounts (unlike the Account Summary version).

      What must be done before running this report to ensure the data is populated?

      The mandatory prerequisite is that you must first run the ‘Margin Analysis Load Run request’ to populate the standard Oracle Margin table (`cst_margin_summary`).

      If I need the detailed version, including the Sales and COGS accounts, what report should I run?

      For the version that shows the Sales and COGS accounts, use the CAC Margin Analysis Account Summary report. This report shows the accounts, although note it might only show the first COGS account if you have custom Subledger Accounting configurations.
