Proactive Concurrent Request Monitoring: Setting up Blitz Report Alerts for Failed Interfaces

Avatar photoCustomer September 19, 2025 at 3:23 pm

We need a robust mechanism for Concurrent Request Monitoring, particularly for critical scheduled programs like Autoinvoice Master Program or Planning Data Pull, to prevent downstream failures. The standard Oracle Alert system is insufficient because it delivers outputs in unformatted text format and cannot easily send Excel exception files. How can the Blitz Report solution generate scheduled alerts for long-running or failed concurrent requests, ensuring the support teams receive clear, usable Excel reports?

The Blitz Report offers specialized System Administrator reports, such as ‘FND Concurrent Requests,’ explicitly developed to monitor EBS application performance and pinpoint problematic requests. This replaces the outdated Oracle Alert method by delivering formatted Excel output directly via email or concurrent request output.

When scheduling this monitoring report, we want to avoid being spammed with the same errors every time the alert runs. Is there a way to only see new or updated issues?

Yes, you should utilize the Incremental Alert Mode parameter when scheduling the report. This ensures the report lists only the latest problematic requests that have occurred since the last successful scheduled run, preventing repeat notifications and focusing efforts only on new issues.

What parameters allow us to identify and target specific bottlenecks, like unusually long-running jobs?

The report parameters include options like ‘Waiting for x Minutes’ and ‘Running longer than x Minutes’ to detect latency, alongside filtering by Status (e.g., Error;Warning) or specific Concurrent Program Name. You can also choose to include the underlying SQL text for detailed analysis using other tools in the Blitz Report DBA Toolkit.
