Preventing column names from being translated in output files

We generate a CSV file for an external system. The system relies on English column headers, but some users run the report in Spanish, causing header translation issues. How can I guarantee the headers are always in the base language?

You need to use the ‘Disable Column Translations’ option in the Options window. Enabling this option prevents the report’s header translation from occurring, even if a multi-language setup is active.

Is this a common practice for output intended for interfaces?

Yes, disabling column translations is commonly used to meet external interface requirements by ensuring column headers remain static and untranslated.

Is there an option to exclude headers entirely, for certain simple interface files?

Yes, you can select the ‘Exclude Column Headers’ option. This removes the header column completely from the output file, also typically used for interface requirements.

Is there a profile option to enforce disabling translations system-wide?

Yes, the profile option ‘Blitz Report Disable Column Translations’ can be set to ‘Yes’ to disable automated column header translations system-wide.
