Migrating Parameters from Generic Concurrent Programs

We have old Oracle Reports that we are converting to Blitz Report. While the SQL requires manual conversion, we want to automate the transfer of the parameter definitions, LOVs, and request group assignments. Which import feature should we use?

You should use the Concurrent Program import option. This feature allows you to import parameter definitions, LOVs, and request group assignments from any concurrent program, which is specifically helpful when migrating legacy reporting technologies.

If I execute the original concurrent report just before the import, does that help?

Yes, if you run the concurrent request immediately before import, the Blitz Report code may attempt to retrieve the program’s largest SQL from the database memory (SGA), which might facilitate the migration process.
