Material Overhead Cost Element Audit

We are auditing our item cost structures and need to identify all items that do not have ‘This Level Material Overhead’ defined in our Frozen Cost Type, across multiple organizations.

The CAC Items Without This Level Material Overhead report is exactly what you need. It shows item costs which do not have this level material overhead for any cost type.

Can I restrict this audit to only purchased items, or exclude items that are designated as inactive?

Yes, you can filter using the optional parameters ‘Make or Buy’ (enter ‘Buy’ to restrict to purchased items) and ‘Item Status to Exclude’ (which defaults to ‘Inactive’).

What is the key mandatory parameter for running this report?

The ‘Cost Type’ parameter is mandatory; you must enter the cost type(s) you wish to report against.

If I need to compare item costs between two different organizations and convert the currency, which report handles that?

For cross-organizational and cross-currency cost comparison, use the CAC Item Cost Comparison report. It converts the source organization’s cost into the comparison organization’s currency.
