Margin Reporting: Item Cost vs. Target Selling Price

We need a report that compares the Item Master List Price against our Frozen cost (Cost Type 1). We also want to include the Market Price (Standard Price) and the Last PO Price, all converted into a specific target currency for standardization.

The CAC Item List Price vs. Item Cost report is designed for this comparison. It compares the item master list price against any cost type (Cost Type 1) and lists the Standard Price (Market Price), Last PO Price, and a converted Last PO Price.

The report description mentions that all prices are converted into the primary UOM and the ‘To Currency Code’. Is setting the ‘To Currency Code’ a mandatory step?

While not explicitly listed in the parameter section as mandatory in the excerpt, the description notes that all item costs and prices are displayed in the specified ‘To Currency Code’, implying it is critical for the conversion logic. The conversion logic handles the fact that List Price is typically in a common, global currency.

Can I include a secondary cost type (Cost Type 2) in this comparison?

Yes, the parameters allow for reporting against a secondary cost type (Cost Type 2).

How does the report handle cancelled PO lines when calculating the Last PO Price?

The report includes logic to fix the Last PO price calculation, specifically needing to exclude Cancelled PO Lines.
