Manufacturing Cost Analysis by Activity

We need a report that breaks down item costs by cost element and attributes the costs to specific manufacturing activities, using up to five activities for comparison. Which report provides this view?

Use the CAC Item Cost Break-Out by Activity report. This report is specifically designed to show item costs by cost element, using up to five entered activities.

What is the critical prerequisite setup within EBS for this report to actually display activity costs?

For this report to show your activity costs, you must first define your activities and then associate your sub-elements by activity. The report logic relies on these Resource Activity assignments.

Are the individual activity parameters mandatory?

The report allows you to specify up to five activity parameters (p_activity1 through p_activity5). You must enter the desired Cost Type to report.

If I need a flexible report to analyze item costs broken down by many different criteria (Element, Sub-Element, Operation, Department), is there a more general report set?

Yes, the CST Item Cost Reports acts as a flexible set, offering numerous reporting options like ‘Element by Sub-Element’, ‘Activity by Department’, and ‘Operation by Activity’.
