iProcurement and Sub Ledger Reporting using ECC SQLs

Avatar photoCustomer June 9, 2023 at 4:00 am

We need custom transactional reports for iProcurement and detailed Financial Sub Ledger analysis. We want to leverage the proven query logic already contained within our ECC dashboards for these areas. Can we confirm that ECC SQL covering both iProc and Sub Ledger details are part of the readily available reports for import into Blitz Report?

Yes. The library of available ECC reports, exceeding 220 in total , specifically includes dashboards covering core functional areas such as iProc and Sub Ledger details. This means you can easily access the underlying, standardized Oracle ECC SQL queries for these critical areas.

How fast is the deployment process for turning a complex Sub Ledger query into a working report ready for end-users?

By leveraging this import method, you achieve rapid report development in under 5 minutes. You simply paste the ECC SQL into the Blitz Report form, and the report runs immediately through Concurrent Requests, generating a perfectly formatted Excel output.

What is the primary technical advantage of deriving reports from the ECC SQL instead of writing new custom SQL for iProcurement?

The main advantage is guaranteed logical integrity. By using the official ECC Oracle queries, which have been tested and approved by Oracle, you ensure the report logic is sound and creates a single source of truth. This certainty is invaluable for complex financial sub-ledger reconciliations.

If the original ECC dashboard limits the data export to CSV files with volume caps, how does Blitz Report handle a mass export of Sub Ledger detail transactions?

    • Support June 17, 2023 at 12:29 pm

Blitz Report is designed for mass data handling. It overcomes the CSV file type limitation and the data output volume limits associated with ECC dashboards. By leveraging the Time Critical reports functionality within our toolkit , you can export millions of sub ledger records efficiently to Excel with no volume limitations.

This seems essential for our period-end closing tasks.
