Implementing Blitz Report to Overcome 65K Row Limit for EBS Form Exports

Avatar photoCustomer September 19, 2025 at 2:22 pm

The native ‘File > Export’ function in Oracle Forms is fundamentally hindering our data auditing capabilities, as it tragically limits data output to just 65,536 rows, forcing manual data extracts which are highly inefficient . Worse yet, attempting these exports locks the user’s screen during the transfer, impeding workflow significantly . We urgently require a seamless workaround to enable true massive data dumps directly from our operational forms without hitting these restrictive Excel row limits.

The 65k row limit is tied to the legacy XLS format utilized by older EBS versions and direct form exports . The recommended solution is adopting Blitz Report, which overcomes this limitation entirely by generating output in the modern XLSX format, which supports significantly higher row counts .

We currently rely heavily on standard BI Publisher reports for compliance data, but they too struggle with file size. How would migrating these large compliance extracts to Blitz Report compare?

Blitz Report offers superior performance and capacity compared to both native form exports and BI Publisher for mass data management . It avoids the XML overhead and data processing limitations often encountered with large BI Publisher reports .
