How to create a Delivery in Full On Time metric in Oracle E-Business Suite using Blitz Report™

We need to start tracking our Delivery in Full On Time (DIFOT) KPI, which is complex because it relies on accurate order and shipping dates within Order Management. How can Blitz Report simplify the definition and calculation of this critical supply chain metric?

Blitz Report is an ideal tool for creating complex custom metrics like DIFOT. The methodology starts by utilizing existing components: you should first copy the seeded Order Header and Lines Blitz Report. You then modify this copy and rename it meaningfully, such as ‘ONT DIFOT’.

Once the report is copied, what are the next technical steps required to calculate the metric accurately?

You must define the logic clearly, starting with a strong understanding of your promise date and order date types. You then create and test the revised query containing your DIFOT logic and save it back into the copied Blitz Report. Remember to modify the user template to show only the necessary columns for the KPI output.

We often have manual adjustments to promise dates. Is there a way to track that change history to ensure data integrity for the DIFOT calculation?

Yes, if configuration or promise dates are subject to changes, you can leverage the Audit capability of Blitz Report, details of which are available on our YouTube channel, to track these modifications and maintain data governance.
