Function Not Available Error after Menu Update

Avatar photoCustomer February 19, 2023 at 4:26 pm

After running ‘Blitz Report Update Menu Entries’, we still see the error: ‘The Blitz Report function is not available under the responsibility’. We waited a few minutes after the concurrent program completed.

When you add the Blitz Report function to menus, Oracle EBS automatically starts ‘Compile Security’. If you try to access Blitz Report before this program finishes, the resulting error is often cached on the server side, causing the problem to persist even after security compilation is complete.

How do we manually clear this cache?

You must clear the cache manually via the Functional Administrator responsibility, navigating to Core Services > Global Configuration > Caching Framework > Clear All Cache.

If clearing the cache fails, what is the next step?

If caching is ruled out, you should manually run the ‘Compile Security’ concurrent program (setting the parameter to YES) and verify it completes normally. If the problem persists, restarting Apache or all application services may be required.
