Ensuring Delivery of Zero-Row Reports for Monitoring

Avatar photoCustomer July 11, 2021 at 8:34 am

We schedule a monitoring report, and if it finds zero errors, we still need the empty output file to confirm the job ran. By default, empty files are suppressed. How can I change this?

By default, file delivery for scheduled reports is suppressed if the report contains zero rows. To ensure empty files are also sent for scheduled reports, set the profile option ‘Blitz Report Suppress Empty File Delivery’ to ‘No’.

What output methods are affected by this profile option?

This profile controls file delivery through Oracle standard’s delivery options.

What is the default behavior if the profile is not set?

The default value is ‘Yes’, meaning delivery is suppressed if the row count is zero.
