Enforcing Ledger Access Set Security on Reports

Avatar photoCustomer February 29, 2024 at 5:39 pm

We need to ensure that certain reports, like CAC inventory reports, are restricted by the user’s ledger access set, even if they don’t use it by default. How can I enforce this ledger security?

You must set the profile option ‘Blitz Report Use Ledger Security’ to ‘Yes’. Setting this profile to ‘Yes’ would also restrict by ledger access set.

What is the default behavior for reports like CAC inventory reports?

Many CAC inventory related reports, for example, only use inventory org security by default. The default setting for this profile is ‘No’.

If this is set to ‘Yes’, are there any performance implications?

Enforcing additional security restrictions always adds complexity to the underlying SQL execution.
