Elemental Inventory Value Reporting and Historical Limitations

Avatar photoCustomer May 19, 2024 at 3:34 am

We need an inventory valuation report that breaks down the value by elemental item cost level and distinguishes between Onhand, Intransit, and Receiving quantity types. Which report can handle this across multiple inventory organizations?

Use the CST Inventory Value – Multi-Organization (Item Costs) report. This report can be used to report inventory value by elemental item cost level and quantity type, and it runs across multiple Inventory Organizations.

We want to run this report historically, but we also need to include non-costed items in the historical view. Are there any known limitations?

There is a significant limitation: the report cannot be run historically when including non-costed items. To include non-costed items, the ‘As of Date’ parameter must be left blank (current date), otherwise the underlying Oracle API will error.

What Oracle standard report functionality does this Blitz Report replace?

This report corresponds to several standard Oracle Reports, including the ‘Elemental Inventory Value Report’ and the ‘All Inventories Value Report’.
