Default template and template sharing options

Avatar photoCustomer June 3, 2020 at 2:49 am

I created a template that should be the mandatory starting point for everyone running this specific report. How can I make it the default for all users?

Assuming you have developer access, you can set the template as the default for all report users by checking the ‘Global Default’ checkbox within the template layout window. This is an option available for developers only.

I want to share another template only with users in the ‘AP Manager’ responsibility. What sharing levels are available?

Templates can be shared across three levels: Site (all users in the system), Responsibility (users having the specified responsibility), or User (inclusion or exclusion by specific user).

If I am a standard user, can I still create my own templates?

Your ability to create templates depends on the profile option ‘Blitz Report Template Access’. If set to ‘Private only’, users can create only private templates. If set to ‘No Access’, users can only view and use existing templates.

What is the highest level of access for template modification?

The ‘Super User’ access level allows users to create private and shared templates, and critically, modify other owner’s templates.
