Customizing the Row Overflow Limit per Sheet

Avatar photoCustomer June 22, 2021 at 10:12 pm

We are running very wide reports (many columns) which are hitting the 4GB size limit in Excel, even though the row count is below 1,048,576. How can I reduce the maximum rows per sheet to avoid this limit?

You need to set the profile option ‘Blitz Report XLSX Sheet Row Limit’. This specifies the maximum number of rows per Excel sheet.

What happens if the report data exceeds the set limit?

Exceeding data will be written to additional sheets.

Is this smaller limit required only when reports have many columns?

Yes, reducing the limit might be required in case one sheet with many columns reaches the 4G size limit.
