Controlling Forms Menu Visibility via Profile Option

We removed the ‘User’ access profile from the Site level to hide the Blitz Report menu entry for non-assigned users. Which component handles this automatic hiding?

This automated menu entry hiding is done through the CUSTOM.pll. It occurs when a user does not have a value for the ‘Blitz Report Access’ profile option.

Does this automated hiding work in both Oracle Forms and OAF pages?

No, this automated menu entry hiding is only done in Forms, but not on the OAF pages.

If I want to completely hide the menu entry from OAF pages, what is the procedure?

You can run the ‘Blitz Report Update Menu Entries’ concurrent program without a menu entry prompt. This makes Blitz Report only accessible from the Excel icon in the top menu.
