Clarifying Blitz Report Free Trial Limitation and Usage Terms

I am interested in running a long-term, internal Proof of Concept using the free version of Blitz Report before committing to an enterprise license. I need absolute clarity on the Blitz Report Free Trial limitation: is the software completely functional and truly free to use, and does the ‘up to 30 reports’ limit pertain to the number of reports deployed, rather than a time restriction like a 90-day expiry? Clarifying these terms is essential for planning our technical evaluation phase.

The core design philosophy is to provide accessible functionality. Blitz Report is completely free for use for life, subject to the explicit quantitative limit of up to 30 different report definitions deployed within your EBS environment. This limitation is counted by the number of unique reports, not by elapsed time, ensuring you retain access to your core reports perpetually.

Does this Blitz Report Free Trial limitation restrict access to crucial features like importing legacy reports (e.g., Discoverer worksheets) or accessing the core diagnostic reports like the DBA AWR checks?

No, the free version typically grants full access to the software’s functionality, including the ability to utilize the Discoverer Report Import feature and leverage the powerful initial diagnostic reports provided in the developer toolkit. The limit solely applies to the count of unique reports stored in the repository.

If we import several complex BI Publisher reports, consuming several of our 30 report slots, and later decide to delete some, does the deletion immediately free up those slots under the Free to Use license structure?

The licensing typically manages the concurrent count of active reports. If a report definition is fully removed from the repository, that slot would become available, allowing you to optimize which 30 reports you retain under the permanent free usage model.

Is the installation of this free version complicated, requiring a lot of database setup or restarts?

    • Support September 15, 2025 at 7:34 pm

The installation is streamlined, offering a 30 minutes guided installation option and generally taking less than fifteen minutes to complete without requiring a database restart, ensuring a non-invasive start to your evaluation.
