Audit of General Ledger Account Classification

Avatar photoCustomer December 14, 2022 at 9:21 am

We are cleaning up our General Ledger setup and need to identify code combinations where the actual account type differs from their flexfield value setup (misclassified accounts). Which Blitz Report can highlight this discrepancy?

Run the GL Code Combinations report. This report has a parameter specifically designed for this purpose: ‘Show Misclassified Accounts’.

If the report identifies misclassified accounts, are there any known implications or considerations before we attempt to correct them?

Yes, correcting misclassified accounts can have implications. The report description references Oracle Note 872162.1, ‘R12: Troubleshooting Misclassified Accounts in General Ledger’, which explains the necessary steps and implications of correcting these issues.

If I want to review the complete structure of the value sets and their validation logic before making changes, where should I look?

You can use the FND Flex Value Sets, Usages and Values report. This details value sets and values, including usages, validation type, format type, validation table, and columns.
