A simpler way to work with Automatic Workload Repository (AWR)

As an EBS DBA, I maintain an extensive toolkit of SQL queries for monitoring performance, particularly using AWR data. How specifically does Blitz Report offer a simpler way to organize and run these Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) reports, moving beyond using simple text files?

Blitz Report is designed to simplify DBA tasks by serving as a dedicated repository for all your performance queries, replacing the need for ‘organized’ text documents. Blitz Report offers a simpler way to work with the AWR, providing immediate reporting functionality integrated within the Oracle EBS environment. We have updated Diagnostic Pack reports specifically for AWR, which streamline the analysis process for you.

That sounds promising for organization. We are currently utilizing Oracle’s multitenant architecture. Have these specialized DBA AWR Blitz Reports been validated to work correctly within a Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB) structure, given how Oracle changed AWR data storage?

Yes, our Diagnostic Pack reports have been explicitly updated to account for the changes introduced with container databases regarding how AWR data is stored and accessed. You should try these updated reports for solving performance issues in your multitenant databases, ensuring accurate performance metrics are retrieved regardless of the PDB/CDB separation.
