Oracle APEX

Two ways to run Blitz Reports from an APEX application, depending on where APEX runs.

APEX in the EBS database

Call the PL/SQL API directly, as in Running reports from PL/SQL. The parsing schema of the APEX workspace needs execute on the APPS packages it calls, for example:

grant execute on apps.xxen_api to <apex parsing schema>;
grant execute on apps.fnd_global to <apex parsing schema>;

Initialize the session for the EBS user behind the APEX user before running a report, so that the report's security applies. To return the file to the browser, download the BLOB from a page process:

sys.htp.init;
sys.owa_util.mime_header('application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet',false);
sys.htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="'||l_file_name||'"');
sys.owa_util.http_header_close;
sys.wpg_docload.download_file(l_file);
apex_application.stop_apex_engine;

APEX in another database

Call the Blitz Report webservices on the EBS instance with apex_web_service.make_rest_request, as described in Calling Blitz Report over REST.
