Reviewing Recently Created Items for Configuration Errors

We need a report to audit all items created within the last quarter to ensure they have the correct item controls, costs (based on our Costing Method), and master accounts assigned.

The CAC New Items report is designed exactly for this. It shows items recently created based on the item master creation date and includes controls, costs, accounts, last transaction details, and current onhand stock.

What parameters must be provided to define this recent creation timeframe?

The mandatory parameters are ‘Creation Date From’ and ‘Creation Date To’, which specify the date range for the item master creation date audit.

We have some items that are deliberately configured not to be costed. Should I exclude these or include them for comprehensive audit?

You control this using the ‘Include Uncosted Items’ parameter. It defaults to ‘Yes’ to display items set to not be costed in your Costing Method Cost Type, ensuring a complete review.

Does this report also show if a BOM, Routing, or Sourcing Rule exists for these new items?

Yes, the report includes columns indicating the existence of BOMs, Routings, and Sourcing Rules, along with creation details and item lot sizes.
