Auditing Completed WIP Jobs for Month-End Closure

Avatar photoCustomer July 21, 2024 at 6:54 pm

I need to generate a list of completed WIP jobs that are eligible for closure at month-end. They must meet variance tolerances and have no outstanding material requirements or stuck transactions. Which Blitz Report provides this filtered list?

Use the CAC WIP Jobs Eligible for Closing report. This report filters for jobs that have a status of ‘Complete’, do not exceed variance tolerances, and have no open material requirements or stuck interface transactions.

What parameters control the tolerance for closing a job, and are they mandatory?

Both ‘Variance Amount Threshold’ (absolute maximum variance allowed) and ‘Variance Percent Threshold’ (based on WIP Job Balance / WIP Costs In) are required parameters.

We often ignore bulk supply items and scrap quantities when assessing completion requirements. Can the report accommodate this?

Yes. You must specify ‘Include Scrap Quantities’ and ‘Include Bulk Supply Items’ parameters, which are both required. Setting ‘Include Bulk Supply Items’ to ‘No’ will exclude those types from the component requirements check.

Conversely, if I need to find completed jobs that are *not* eligible for closing (i.e., those exceeding tolerance or having requirements), which report should I use?

Use the CAC WIP Jobs Not Eligible for Closing report. This report specifically finds jobs that exceed variance tolerances, have uncompleted assemblies, open requirements, or stuck transactions.
