To have a report scheduled to run daily and email a list of people upon completion

We recently had a request from one of our users to have a report scheduled to run daily and email a list of people upon completion. We do this with several reports today. However, the requestor asked if we could only send an email to a list of people whose names or email addresses were listed in the report that was generated. This is not something we have attempted, but I didn’t know if there was possibly a post-processing customization that could be used for this. If this is something you have previously done for anyone, would it be possible to walk me through the steps to accomplish this?

  Do you mean sending just one single email with one report attached to a dynamically derived distribution list of emails?
  Or do you mean sending individual emails with different report output files to individual email addresses?
  The latter functionality is called ‘bursting’ in Oracle standard, and we do not have it implemented in our standard solution yet, but it could be accomplished with a custom concurrent program using the Blitz Report concurrent program API to submit one report for every email to be sent.
  We had the bursting functionality request a few times from customers already, which is why we have it on our near future enhancement list.

  No worries, Andy. This was definitely not an urgent request. I just wanted to see if you already had a solution for what the user requested.
  Currently the report I have scheduled to run daily will email the results to a static list of customer service representatives. I believe the concern our Customer Service Manager has is her team is looking through a lot of emails each day, so she would like each person on her team to only receive an email delivery of this report if their name (or email address) is listed beside any of the qualified orders. So it would actually be the same report results sent to each person, but they would only receive the email if their name was on the report results. (Currently they receive the email and must look through the results to see if there are any orders assigned to them.)
  This doesn’t seem like much of a hardship to me, as the report does not contain a large list of data to look through. However, if we have the ability to accommodate such a request, I thought I would be able to use it in other cases as well.
  Again, this is certainly nothing urgent–more a nice-to-have than a requirement–in my opinion.
