The Challenge
OFS used Oracle Discoverer and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for operational reporting from their Oracle EBS. With Discoverer approaching its end of life and the SQL Server reports having connectivity and performance problems across various servers, OFS looked for a better solution.
They were looking for a tool that would fit their budget, and be quick and easy to implement and use.
Why Blitz Report?
While Dean from OFS was looking for a Discoverer replacement in Oracle forums, he came across Blitz Report. Dean, not being a DBA, was surprised that he was able to just download, install and have the solution working within a few minutes. The most compelling feature of Blitz Report was the ease of use to migrate their existing Discoverer and SSRS reports or to create new ones quickly just from a SQL query.

The Results
Initially starting from just 10 users to test the solution, OFS quickly recognized the value of Blitz Report and rolled it out to their whole 100+ EBS user audience. Currently, the company relies on Blitz Report for all their EBS reporting requirements and recently started leveraging the data upload functionality to further enhance their users’ EBS experience.
